We share information in limited circumstances:

With Other Users: • Your name, location, and profile are visible to others • Your listings and photos are public • Messages you send are visible to recipients • Your total CO₂ saved may be displayed

Carbon Credit Buyers: • Aggregated, anonymized CO₂ data • Platform-wide transaction statistics • Verification reports for credit auditing • NO individual user information

Legal Requirements: • Court orders or legal processes • Law enforcement requests • Protect rights and safety • Comply with UAE regulations

We do NOT: • Sell your personal information • Share data with advertisers • Provide contact info to third parties • Transfer data outside UAE without safeguards

Our AI system processes your uploaded images to: • Identify item categories automatically • Assess condition and suggest pricing • Calculate CO₂ savings • Detect prohibited items

You have the right to: • Review AI assessments before publishing • Edit or override AI suggestions • Understand how decisions are made • Contest inaccurate AI results

AI models are trained on: • Publicly available product images • User-uploaded images (with consent) • Licensed commercial datasets

Your images help improve AI accuracy. You can opt out of AI training by contacting us.

We retain data for different periods:

Active Accounts: • Retained as long as account is active • Updated regularly

Deleted Accounts: • Personal data deleted within 30 days • Aggregated CO₂ data anonymized and retained • Legal/compliance records retained as required

Listings: • Active until you delete them • Inactive listings archived after 90 days • Deleted listings removed within 7 days

Messages: • Retained for 1 year after last message • Can be deleted by users anytime

Analytics Data: • Anonymized data retained indefinitely • Used for platform improvements

MazadO₂ may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for: • Privacy practices of third-party sites • Content on external websites • Data collection by linked services

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Your data is primarily stored in the UAE. However, some service providers may process data outside the UAE.

When transferring data internationally, we ensure: • Adequate data protection safeguards • Compliance with UAE regulations • Standard contractual clauses • Equivalent security measures

We primarily use providers with UAE or EU data centers.
